                               Sri lanka is a religious country. There are so many religious popular places in Sri lanka some of them are Temple of the tooth, Ruwanweli Saya, Abhayagiriya , Thuparamaya, Polonnaruwa gal viharaya, Kataragama, Kelaniya like that out of these places kataragama is very important place. Kataragama is a pilgrimage town sacred to Hindu, Buddhist people of Sri lanka. Kataragama devalaya and  Kataragama kirivehere is very essential places of Sri lankan people. Not only Sri lankan people and but also tourist people. It is situated in Uva province , Monaragala district. Kataragama devalaya is dedicated to Skanda Kumara also known as Kataragama deviyo.🙏🙏

Because of this reason many people come to worship this. Kirivehera was built by the regional king Mahasena in 3rd century. Yala national park is also another popular place in Kataragama. There are different kind of animals live in yala national park. It is very popular among Sri lankan people and tourist also yala safari is also very popular among them. Because of all these reasons Kataragama is special place in Sri lanka.
